It’s funny ‘cuz it’s true.
Did you hear that Mike Hargrove, who resigned as manager of the Seattle Mariners this summer, has taken over the reigns of the semi-pro team he played on 35 years ago. The Kansas-based team is called the Liberal BeeJays! Chaw on that.

But it’s not true. Well, it might not be true. Some scholars think the whole “72 virgins” thing was a mistranslation, kinda like Mary being a virgin. You don’t get virgins in martyr heaven, you get white raisons… D’oh! ( http://www.corkscrew-balloon.com/02/03/1bkk/04b.html )

If suicide bombers do these acts because they desire 72 raisins in heaven, rather than virgins – it increases the comedic value. Not that there is anything funny about people being blown up, even for dried fruit. I once cut my finger for a orange, and it was NOT funny at all, so I know of whence I spake.

Liberal BeeJays play on a baseball field, Conservative BeeJays play in a stall, or something. and I thought the Mets team I grew up rooting for sucked…
